WEBINAR: €3 on every EU order. What to do before July.

From 1 July 2026, the EU is scrapping the duty-free threshold on low-value parcels. A flat €3 customs charge applies to every parcel entering the EU from a non-EU country and if you're not set up correctly, your customer gets hit with an extra €10–15 at their front door. Most of them won't pay it. They'll refuse the parcel and never order from you again.

What's changing  and why it matters now

The €150 de minimis threshold is gone. Every parcel you send from the UK, US, Australia, or Canada into the EU carries a new €3 customs charge from day one. No transition period.

The way that €3 gets collected depends entirely on whether you're registered for IOSS — the EU's Import One-Stop Shop for VAT. If you are, the customer pays it seamlessly at checkout. If you're not, a courier knocks on their door with a €13–18 bill for a product they've already paid for.

That's the difference between a smooth delivery and a refused parcel.
